
Plan you visa policy: requirements and responsibilities
It is essential to verify entry requirements, including visa obligations, and complete all necessary administrative steps well in advance of the event.
Please note that SIAL team cannot be held responsible in the event of a visa refusal, delays in visa issuance, or any inability to travel.
Visa decisions remain under the sole authority of the relevant Consulate or Embassy, which should be contacted directly for any specific inquiries. Due to processing times, early application is strongly recommended.

Malaysia

Indonesia
Indonesia offers visa exemptions for short stays (generally up to 30 days) to many nationalities, including:
- All ASEAN countries, including Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and Brunei
- European and other countries such as France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Australia, Japan, Canada and South Korea

Vietnam
Vietnam offers various visa-free schemes, including:
- Stays of up to 45 days for certain European countries (e.g. France, Germany, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea).
- Visa-free stays under bilateral agreements with several ASEAN countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, and Singapore.

India

Canada
Canada offers visa exemptions for short stays (generally up to 6 months) to many nationalities, including: European countries such as France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain Other countries including the United States, Australia, Japan, South Korea and Singapore
Note: most visa-exempt travelers are required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) prior to departure.

Chine - Shanghai
China offers visa-free entry under specific conditions and for selected nationalities, including: Visa-free transit (typically 72 to 144 hours) available in major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai for travelers from countries including France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan and South Korea Visa-free access for short stays (up to 15 days) for certain nationalities under bilateral agreements or pilot policies

Chine - Guangzhou
Guangzhou offers visa-free entry under specific conditions for selected nationalities. Travelers may benefit from visa-free transit (72 to 144 hours) when transiting through the city, depending on eligibility. Short visa-free stays (up to 15 days) may also apply under bilateral agreements or pilot policies.

France
Citizens of many countries can enter the Schengen area (including France) without a visa for tourist or business stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period, including (non-exhaustive list): Canada, Australia, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, New Zealand, Ireland, the United States, etc.
Participants from countries requiring a visa to enter France must include an official invitation letter from SIAL Paris in their visa application. To obtain this letter, you must first register for the event by ordering your ticket and completing the dedicated invitation letter request form.
