The exhibition

After three successful editions in Shenzhen, SIAL in China South is entering a new phase of its development. The next edition will be the fourth edition of SIAL in China South.

The 2026 edition will be held in Guangzhou, at the Poly World Trade Centre Expo (PWTC), a modern and accessible venue located in the heart of a dynamic and strategic economic hub. SIAL in China South continues its drive to become the agri-food hub of southern China. The 2026 edition will be even bigger and better than previous editions.

  • Guangzhou's total foreign trade volume in 2024 reached 1.12 trillion yuan (≈ $157.8 billion), up +3% year-on-year.
  • Guangzhou's exports in 2024 exceeded 700.55 billion yuan, representing growth of +7.8% compared to 2023.
  • The city's private enterprises saw imports of “food, seafood, and fruit” account for ≈ 75% of their total import volume in 2024.
  • Among these private food imports, “meat, seafood, and derivatives” accounted for over 80% of total private food imports.
  • Imports of products such as fruits from the southern hemisphere (cherries) and frozen seafood grew by +40% or more in 2024.
  • In terms of local consumption, Guangzhou had more than 240,000 restaurants in 2023 and nearly 134 restaurants per 10,000 inhabitants, making it the city with the highest density of formal restaurants in China.

In pursuit of its goal to further develop the Chinese market and enhance the global reach of the SIAL series, SIAL Network will enter the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay area in 2023.

This strategic move aims to provide the region's food and beverage companies and brands with efficient and convenient access to SIAL, the world's largest platform for food and beverage trade and exchanges.The decision to organize the trade fair in Guangzhou marks a strategic extension and continued investment in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area.

The show will take place at the Poly World Trade Center Expo from the 3rd to 5th September 2026. Anticipated to rival the significance of SIAL Shanghai, SIAL Guangzhou is poised to become another vital platform for the food and beverage trade.

  1. Must have been created or released to the market later than September 2023
  2. Must be an edible food product for the food processing industry
  3. Declare and guarantee that own the intellectual property rights relating to the product presented in the context of the operation or have been duly authorized by the owner of the intellectual property rights relating to the presented product to present
  4. Products comply with the legislation of their country of origin or the country in which they are to be marketed
