Organised by the Comexposium Group, the show is designed exclusively for industry professionals and offers a unique gateway to the vibrant consumer and production hub of South China, as well as the wider Southeast Asian region.
Launched in 2023 as a complement to the long-established SIAL Shanghai, SIAL Shenzhen is positioned as the “Exclusive Gateway to Southern China F&B Market”. It provides a 12-month link-up for businesses, enabling them to access buyers, suppliers, and partners year-round through both onsite and digital services.
With China’s economic centre gradually shifting southward, the choice of Shenzhen is strategic. The city lies at the heart of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, a region that ranks first globally in international trade volume and is widely recognised as a powerhouse for consumption and innovation. The Shenzhen government is also advancing plans for the International Food Valley, which aims to become a leading global hub for food nutrition, health, and technology.

A global stage in the Greater Bay Area
SIAL Shenzhen 2025 will cover 40,000 square metres of exhibition space, welcoming more than 1,100 exhibitors from 50 countries and regions, and attracting around 67,000 trade professionals. Over 21 sectors of the food and beverage industry will be represented, giving participants a comprehensive view of market trends and new product launches.
Visitors will discover a dynamic show floor organised into six Highlight Villages: Chinese Food & Beverage, International Food & Beverage, International Meat, Pulses and Grains, Organic Food, and Bakery & Confectionery. Alongside these thematic areas, competitions and feature events will provide inspiration and insight into the latest industry innovations.
This breadth of content reflects the strength of the SIAL brand, which since its founding in Paris in 1964 has grown into the world’s largest network of food and beverage innovation exhibitions, spanning cities such as Montreal, Toronto, New Delhi, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, and of course Shanghai and Shenzhen. In China alone, more than 55,000 exhibitors and 1.5 million professionals have taken part in SIAL events since 2000.
Connecting buyers and exhibitors
At its core, SIAL Shenzhen is a business platform. By bringing together suppliers, producers, and international buyers, the exhibition enables targeted matchmaking and valuable deal-making opportunities. Its year-round 360° integrated marketing and online tools ensure that connections extend beyond the three days of the show, creating continuity and long-term value for participants.
This focus on professional networking underscores SIAL’s brand values of being international, professional, trade-oriented, and innovative. Exhibitors can present their products to a global audience, while buyers benefit from curated access to high-quality suppliers and emerging food trends.

Spotlight on the Top Buyer Programme
A highlight of SIAL Shenzhen is the Top Buyer Programme, designed to maximise the experience of international and domestic buyers through exclusive benefits before, during, and after the exhibition.
Before the show, approved participants receive a VIP Buyer badge, complimentary hotel stay, and pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings with suppliers tailored to their sourcing needs. During the exhibition, Top Buyers enjoy priority access to the venue, a dedicated lounge for business meetings, free translation services, and guided sourcing tours organised by sector. They also receive invitations to awards ceremonies, networking events, and the conference programme.
After the event, Top Buyers gain access to a complimentary post-show report and the wider SIAL global network, which spans 11 exhibitions worldwide. This provides continuity, enabling buyers to maintain their strategic connections and explore business opportunities across international markets.
The programme is particularly attractive for buyers looking to accelerate their business, stay ahead of consumer trends, and engage with the companies shaping the future of the global food industry.
